LAPIDARY FACILITIES
The SMLS has an Ultratec faceting machine which is currently being kept in John White's workshop in Crawley.
John also has a Robilt faceting machine, a combination machine with 6 inch saw for making cabochons, a faceting saw, and a 10 inch slab saw. He has a quantity of many different materials for cabbing and faceting.
If members would like to learn how to facet or cut and polish cabochons John will be pleased to teach you on a one to one basis as the workshop area is compact. A small charge will be made to cover consumables and electricty.
